I attended BSU's fine arts program until I dropped out to pursue tattooing. I moved to Tennessee with my brother and did a grueling two and a half year old school apprenticeship under Bill Roberts, and Jimmy the Saint. I worked alongside Orrin Hurley who apprenticed my brother at the same studio.

Looking back I feel blessed to have fallen ass backwards into such a varied and skilled school of tattooing.  Bill Roberts was an American traditional artist, Jimmy the Saint favored Neo Traditional Japanese, and Orrin was more into the New School.  It was a great place to learn as long as you didn't mind working 65 hours a week while being punked out and doing the lowest and dirtiest forms of menial labor.  It was truly one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.

My brother and I equipped with the knowledge gained through blood, sweat, and tears moved back to Indiana and opened Skeleton Crew Tattoo.

I hope that our work speaks for itself.
